Who can take ATC’s training courses?

ATC offers a wide range of beginner and advanced training courses that focus on neurotoxins, HA fillers, semi-permanent fillers, PRP and PLLA / PLGA Threads. Our courses are open to medical practitioners including medical doctors, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistances and dentists.

What training methods are used by ATC in our various courses?

ATC provides all participants with pre-course material that will be sent our about 2 weeks prior to the course start date. All participants will have further learning in our location with the opportunity to consult and treat multiple patients.

How many people will be in my training course with me?

Our entire course will not consist of more than 10 people total. Our hands-on training while consulting and injecting are done in small groups.

Who is legally able to administer neurotoxin or dermal filler injections?

Standards can vary from province to province however generally speaking Canadian guidelines outline that medical doctors, dental surgeons and nurse practitioners who have completed neurotoxin training may inject independently. Registered nurses, physician assistants and practical nurses can also administer injections, after training completion, under the delegation / supervision of a physician.

Is there actually an existing or prospective demand for cosmetic injectors?

The global non-invasive aesthetic treatment market size was valued at US$ 52.57 billion in 2021. Some estimates say that it will hit 150.6 billion by 2030. This field is highly lucrative and will continue to grow in demand.

How much money can I expect to make if I learn to inject?

Companies like Zip-recruiter state that, in Ontario, cosmetic nurse injectors make upward of $75,000 dollars per year and go up from there with years of experience.

What procedures can I do if I am under the delegation of a physician or nurse practitioner?

Cosmetic practitioners under the supervision or delegation of a medical doctor or nurse practitioner can do a variety of cosmetic treatments including neurotoxin injections, dermal fillers, PRP injections, PLLA threads, sclerotherapy, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, IPL facials, various laser therapies, tattoo removal, and much more.

Will I be able to perform these services / procedures once I have completed the course?

Our training is comprehensive and includes significant hands on work to ensure that you are able to perform these services with confidence immediately after successful completing our training.

Are the faculty at ATC available to answer questions after I complete my course?

After completing the course participants are able to email or schedule a call to ask further questions or points of clarity. This can be done within the 3 month period post completion.

I am a doctor, is it advisable to bring my nurse or other delegatable practitioners with me?

Yes it is generally a good idea however they will need to register independently.

I am a clinic manager / owner who would like to have my nurse or PA trained. Is there any sort of funding available?

I am a physician in Ontario - Do I have to apply for a change in scope of practice?

Yes - the college does require an application for the change of scope and proof of sufficient training. We will be providing you with a certificate of completion to assist you in this process.

I am a licensed physician in Canada - will the CMPA cover me for insurance in cosmetics?

Yes they will as long as you are operating within the jurisdiction that you are licensed in and that you can demonstrate that you are practicing within generally accepted guidelines and have had appropriate training.

As a foreign trained Doctor am I able to take these courses?

Yes you may take these courses however proof of education and registration with the professional bodies in your home country will be required.

Cancelation within 14 days or less of course commencement will result in a forfeiture of ALL paid fees.
